Anne is no longer the young girl she used to be, but as a teen, her fierce-temper and boundless passion remain steadfast.

But when Anne begins her job as the new schoolteacher, the real test of her character begins. Anne must learn to be a compassionate teacher while managing her group of mischievous students and acting as a guide to two new rambunctious orphans at Green Gables. As Anne befriends new and old faces alike, she will find herself making unexpected connections—and meddling in the love life of others. But most surprisingly of all, Anne finds that she may even have a romance of her own with a handsome old friend.

Über die Urheberinnen:

Lucy Maud Montgomery (1874–1942) was born in Clifton, Prince Edward Island, and raised by her grandparents in nearby Cavendish, where the Island's landscapes, books, and her vivid imagination inspired a lifetime of storytelling. Educated at Prince of Wales College in Charlottetown and Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she taught school before caring for her grandmother in Cavendish from 1898 to 1911 while publishing poems and stories in Canadian and American magazines. Her first novel, Anne of Green Gables, became an immediate success, followed by seven Anne novels as well as beloved classics including Emily of New Moon and Pat of Silver Bush. L. M. Montgomery died in Toronto in 1942, but it is her early years on lush green Prince Edward Island that live on in the delightful adventures of the impetuous redhead, the stories Mark Twain called “the sweetest creation of child life yet written."
